iZZi

iZZi wireless broadband by iZZiNet Sdn Bhd was launched in May 2006, and is the only provider in Malaysia for the 4G/iBurst Technology. So far, iZZi has been concentrating their efforts in improving their coverage in the Klang Valley and have no plans in the near future to expand beyond the Klang Valley. Within this region, however, they offer great coverage, very generous bandwidth allowance and excellent ease of application for an affordable price! Connection Speed (Back to top)

iZZi offers packages that has speeds of up to 512kbps and 1Mbps. Although this may seem low compared to the packages offered by other networks, the practical speed achievable with iZZi is 60 to 70 percent for some places. This is pretty good compared to some networks, of which the practical speed is only 20 to 40 percent of their peak speed. In short, to find out how’s the connection speed at your place.

Fair Usage Policy (Back to top)

Within wireless broadband industry, iZZi offers the best fair usage policy. For the normal 1Mbps package, users are able to use up to 750MB per DAY (which comes to 21-23GB per month). Plus, from 2am to 6am, there’s a free flow period where any data transfer won’t count towards the 750MB cap. Plus, P2P down throttling will be removed. So this is great news for heavy downloaders. Upon hitting the daily allowance limit, iZZi will throttle down the user’s download speed to 128kbps. So, in short, iZZi offers semi-unlimited downloads for a very good price.

Coverage-wise, iZZi is adequate, covering most places in the Klang Valley, not including blind spots. However, for those who need nationwide coverage, we recommend/suggest you look at other networks. Click here to check out iZZi’s coverage area.

Contract Policy (Back to top)

For iZZi, although they claim that no contract policy applies for their packages, subscribers need to either pay for the whole six or twelve months of subscription fee in a lump sum, via ezy payment or autodebit (for certain packages only). Therefore, that much money is locked in by iZZi for that period. However, there is a refund policy for both packages which is a 7-day 100% refund policy (minus RM82 service charge if total usage is less than 5MB or RM180 if it’s more than 5MB). And for the twelve months package, there’s also a 3 months refund policy (75% minus RM82) and a 6 months refund policy (50% minus RM82). In short, test it out first before subscribing to it. iZZi is also a winner in ease of application.
